Did You See the Giraffe?
From "Zoo Break — The Big Break"

Billy Brown and his mom were downtown - makin' their rounds one day.
When he tried hard to point something out - she was lookin' off the other way!
Billy said, "Look over there, and please tell me what you see! Don't bother now -
they just went around the tree."
"Please tell me? Did you see the giraffe - drivin' that Cadillac?
Crusin' around with the top rolled down! Hippo in front - Monkey in back!
Don't say, `Fiddle-de-dee!' Maybe you didn't see! It looks like to me - they're out on a shopping spree!"

All the animals sing and shout, "It's Zoo Break, and we're out! So don't you be surprised to see us frolicking about!
We're vacation bound! And we'll see you around - We're takin' our Zoo Break right into your town!"

Ellie May had a birthday party - at the playground in the park!
Up and down with an otter on the teeter-totter - and slide with a brown aardvark!
She said, "Mom and Dad - what fun I had - with my new friends from the zoo!"
"Now, why are you lookin' at me that way you do?"
"Please tell me? Didn't you see a thing - elephants on the swing?
Chimpanzees on the jungle-gym! Koala bears - up on the rings!
Don't say, `Fiddle-de-dee!' Maybe you didn't see! But I do believe - they came as my birthday treat!"

Why do adults think that they've seen it all - When every kid agrees - they often miss things we know to be true!
And yet, they look sincerely in our eyesand swear it's make-believe -That the animals take vacation from the zoo!

The second grade play their soccer game - on the grass at the city square -
But the coach is stumped when the ball just drops - and the kids all stop and stare!
He turns around one second late - to just miss what they all see.
But he hears the shout - from everyone on the team:
"Please tell us? Did you see the giraffe - drivin' that Cadillac?

Don't say, `Fiddle-de-dee!' Maybe you didn't see! But I do believe - there's room in that car for me!"
