Hippo Hollow

When a hippo says to you, "I'll tell you what I'd like to do!"
You can guess what's on his mind. And if you ask him, this is what you'll find:
"I like floating in the river! Lush green grass for me to eat!
Squishy mud beneath my feet! Where the water runs so sweet!
Floating down the river! To a special place I know! Come on, if you'd like to go!
Down to `Hippo Hollow!' We'll have tons of fun! 'Cause down in `Hippo Hollow,'
-- Dinner has just begun!"

One great hippo galumphs along, and greets you with his gaping yawn!
He says "I might be fat and gray, but I sure know what makes a perfect day!"
"I like floating in the river! My nostrils close, so I can run
Underwater, just for fun! Sleek and graceful I become!
Floating down the river! To a special place I know! Come on, if you'd like to go!
Down to `Hippo Hollow!' We'll have tons of fun! 'Cause down in `Hippo Hollow,'
-- Dinner has just begun!"

Every evening, without fail, the hippos head on up the trail!
Mingling and munching all night long, they gather 'round to sing this hippo song:
"We like floating in the river! Lush green grass for us to eat!
